Mumbai-based real estate veteran Niranjan Hiranandani, founder of Hiranandani Developers, recently praised DLF’s Camellias project in Gurugram as an example of ‘forward-thinking luxury living.’ Sharing his thoughts on social media, Hiranandani described the ultra-luxury residential complex as a groundbreaking development that redefines the essence of high-end housing in India.
During his visit to Gurugram’s DLF Phase 5, Mr. Hiranandani toured the Camellias project and expressed deep admiration for its innovative approach. “Each project is a testament to DLF’s commitment to revolutionising the essence of luxury living for Indian homeowners,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post. He highlighted the experiential-led design philosophy implemented across DLF’s developments in the Golf Course area, which emphasize immersive lifestyle experiences rather than just conventional architecture.
He also reflected on his personal philosophy of competition, stating, “I don’t see other players as competition—for me, yesterday’s Niranjan Hiranandani is the competition.” This mindset underscores his focus on continuous self-improvement and relentless pursuit of excellence. “True leadership lies in consistently pushing the boundaries of what’s possible,” he added, noting that growth stems from internal benchmarks rather than external rivalry.
Mr. Hiranandani pointed out that cities such as Gurugram, Mumbai, and other urban hubs in India are establishing new standards in luxury living by integrating global lifestyle trends with local aspirations. This trend aligns with India’s rising economic prosperity and the growing demand among affluent homeowners for residences that offer world-class amenities and experiences.
He described Camellias as more than just a housing project—calling it a “statement lifestyle” that transcends traditional notions of luxury. According to Mr. Hiranandani, the project creates a nature-friendly, biophilic ecosystem where sustainability meets artistry. With wellness-led amenities, global hospitality benchmarks, and thoughtful design, Camellias offers a self-sufficient, intergenerational community. This combination, he said, allows homeowners to invest not just in real estate but in a lasting legacy.
DLF’s Camellias in Gurugram’s DLF Phase 5 caters primarily to ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Several high-profile property deals in the complex have made headlines recently, reflecting the premium status of the development.
Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal purchased an ultra-luxury apartment spanning 10,813 square feet for ₹52.3 crore in August 2022, with the conveyance deed registered in March 2025. The apartment comes with five dedicated parking spaces.
In December 2024, Rishi Parti, CEO and founder of Gurugram-based Info-X Software Technology, acquired a penthouse in The Camellias for ₹190 crore.
In another notable transaction in February 2024, Singapore-based NRI sold a 10,000 sq ft apartment to Smiti Agarwal, wife of Hemant Agarwal, CMD of V Bazaar Retail Pvt Ltd, for ₹95 crore.
Rental Market Insights
The rental market within The Camellias commands some of the highest prices in Gurugram’s luxury segment. Monthly rents for apartments can reach as high as ₹20 lakh for units around 11,000 square feet. A 7,500 square feet apartment can fetch ₹14 lakh per month, while the adjacent luxury development Magnolias sees average rents between ₹7-8 lakh monthly.
Earlier this year, on July 17, DLF, in partnership with Trident Realty, launched 416 luxury apartments in four towers at Andheri West, Mumbai. This project involves an investment close to ₹900 crore, showcasing DLF’s expansion in India’s premier real estate markets.
The Camellias and other high-end DLF projects reflect a strategic focus on creating experiential luxury residences that combine sustainability, wellness, and a lifestyle that appeals to discerning Indian and global buyers alike.
