Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna Sell Oberoi 360 West Apartment for ₹80 Crore

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and his wife, author Twinkle Khanna, have sold their sea-facing apartment in Mumbai's Oberoi 360 West project for ₹80 crore. Property transaction documents accessed by IndexTap confirm the deal, which was registered on January 31. A stamp duty of ₹4.80 crore was paid for the transaction.

The apartment is located on the 39th floor of Oberoi 360 West, a luxury residential project in Worli. It has a RERA carpet area of 6,830 square feet and includes four parking slots. The price per square foot is approximately ₹1.17 lakh. Developed by Oberoi Realty, the project consists of two residential towers offering 4 BHK and 5 BHK units, duplex apartments, and penthouses. The project received its occupation certificate in 2022, making it one of the more recent high-end developments in the city.

Oberoi 360 West has attracted several well-known buyers. Actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Kapoor purchased a 5,395 sq ft apartment in the project for around ₹60 crore in May. Abhishek Bachchan, D’Mart founder Radhakrishna Damani, and Everest Masala Group promoter Vadilal Bhai Shah also own properties in the development. Karan Bhagat, founder and CEO of 360 One (formerly IIFL Wealth & Asset Management), acquired two units for over ₹170 crore. Promoters of Kiran Gems purchased a 16,000 sq ft sea-facing apartment for ₹97.4 crore.

According to CRE Matrix, Oberoi 360 West recorded approximately 27 property transactions, both primary and secondary, from January 2024 to December 2024. The total value of these transactions exceeded ₹2,291 crore, highlighting the demand for luxury real estate in this project.

This is not Akshay Kumar’s only recent real estate transaction. On January 21, he sold an apartment in Borivali East for ₹4.25 crore. The property is part of Sky City, another residential project by Oberoi Realty, spread across 25 acres. Sky City offers a range of apartments, including 3 BHK, studio, and duplex units, catering to different segments of buyers.

Mumbai’s luxury real estate market continues to witness high-value transactions. Several factors contribute to the sustained demand for premium housing, including infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and lifestyle amenities. Worli, in particular, remains a preferred location for high-net-worth individuals due to its central location and sea-facing properties.

The real estate sector in Mumbai has seen consistent activity in the luxury segment, with high-end projects drawing interest from investors and buyers looking for premium living spaces. The presence of celebrities and business leaders in developments like Oberoi 360 West further adds to the appeal of such projects.

The sale of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s apartment for ₹80 crore is part of a broader trend of high-value property transactions in Mumbai. The steady stream of sales in Oberoi 360 West indicates confidence in the city's premium residential market. With multiple high-profile buyers investing in the development, the project remains a significant location in Mumbai’s real estate landscape.

Luxury housing in Mumbai continues to attract interest from both investors and end-users, supported by strong market fundamentals. The demand for spacious, well-located apartments with modern amenities remains steady, ensuring continued activity in the city’s premium residential sector.
