Steer, a global infrastructure and transport consultancy, has opened its second office in India at Dextrus, a premium design-led co-working space located at Peninsula Corporate Park, Lower Parel, Mumbai.

The expansion marks a significant milestone in Steer’s Asia Pacific growth journey and reinforces its commitment to India’s infrastructure transformation, sustainable transport goals, and national economic ambitions.

Founded in London, Steer operates across transport, infrastructure, energy, and cities, with offices in Asia Pacific, the Americas, and Europe. In India, the firm has already established a strong presence over the past decade, advising on 250+ toll roads, major airports, and strategic highway assets, while also supporting projects across Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Fiji, Kenya, and beyond.

The new Mumbai office positions Steer closer to Maharashtra’s infrastructure ecosystem and provides a stronger platform for collaboration with both public and private stakeholders.

“Our presence in Mumbai positions us at the intersection of innovation, capital, and infrastructure development,” said Vaibhav Gupta, Head of India, Steer. “As India continues to make bold strides in sustainable transport, decarbonisation, and infrastructure investment, we’re excited to deepen our contribution by offering world-class advisory services from this new location. The Mumbai office will also enhance our ability to collaborate in emerging areas such as energy transition and financial due diligence.”

With this expansion, Steer aims to strengthen its core infrastructure advisory services spanning demand assessment, revenue and cost analysis, technical due diligence, and risk evaluation. The firm also plans to provide integrated transaction advisory offerings, including financial and sustainability due diligence, while growing its focus on emerging areas such as EV infrastructure, employee transportation programmes, and climate-aligned infrastructure. In addition, Steer will collaborate with its UK-based sister company, Amberside Advisors, to deliver solutions in renewable energy and energy transition.

Welcoming Steer to the Dextrus community, Robin Chhabra, Founder & CEO, Dextrus, said, “We are delighted to host Steer at Dextrus. Their work at the intersection of infrastructure, sustainability, and innovation reflects the very ethos of our spaces — to empower ambitious organisations with thoughtful design, functionality, and collaboration-ready environments.”

This expansion positions Steer to play a larger role in India’s growth story, with its Mumbai base complementing its Delhi presence and further strengthening its ability to deliver powerful, future-ready solutions to some of Asia Pacific’s most complex infrastructure challenges.
