The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted a 26-acre land parcel in Sector 8 to Shri Katyayani Metal Private Limited for the development of a logistics park and warehousing facility, with a projected investment of approximately ₹1,000 crore.
The project is positioned as a key component of the logistics ecosystem planned around the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar. The land allotment was formalized on Friday through a Letter of Intent issued by the Authority.
According to officials aware of the development, the logistics park will be designed to support cargo movement through the airport and will offer end-to-end services including warehousing, cargo handling, sorting, and last-mile distribution. It is expected to cater to domestic and international freight requirements once the airport becomes operational.
YEIDA’s Chief Executive officer RK Singh has been overseeing the Authority’s broader push to attract logistics, industrial, and warehousing investment in the region. Under his leadership, the Authority has prioritized infrastructure development aligned with the airport’s cargo and freight handling needs. Sector 8, where the project will be located, is among the zones earmarked for logistics and industrial use due to its proximity to the airport site and road connectivity to the Yamuna Expressway.
The ₹1,000-crore investment is projected to generate a significant number of jobs in both direct and ancillary services. Officials estimate that the project will also draw investment interest from logistics operators and third-party service providers looking to establish supply chain infrastructure in the region.
The cargo terminal at the Noida International Airport is scheduled to be operational from the initial phase of the airport’s launch. YEIDA’s land allocation to logistics and warehousing units is part of an integrated planning approach that includes seamless connectivity between the airport and regional industrial hubs.
Shri Katyayani Metal Private Limited, headquartered in Jammu & Kashmir, has proposed a multi-phase development plan for the site. The company is expected to begin site preparation within the next few months following regulatory clearances and compliance procedures outlined in the allotment terms.
The broader region surrounding the airport has seen growing interest from real estate developers, data center operators, and logistics firms. YEIDA has already completed several allotments in the last two years as part of its industrial policy aimed at transforming the area into a high-capacity economic zone.
The Noida International Airport, which is being developed in phases, is expected to be operational by 2026 and has been positioned as one of the largest upcoming airports in Asia.
