Salesforce Opens Its Largest Office Tower in India’s Tech Capital, Bengaluru

Salesforce, one of the global leaders in customer relationship management (CRM), is expanding its operations in India with the construction of its first Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru. Located at Bagmane Tech Park in Mahadevpura, the tower is set to be completed by 2026. This new development is part of Salesforce's strategy to establish key hubs in major global markets, alongside towers in cities like San Francisco, New York, London, and Tokyo.

The Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru will be a 12-story building designed to provide a modern work environment that encourages collaboration and flexibility. The office space will be tailored to meet the evolving needs of employees, moving away from traditional office setups. The design will include spaces that promote teamwork and employee wellness, a focus that has become increasingly important in the tech industry.

The tower will not just serve as office space, but will also feature facilities dedicated to training, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI). As AI continues to play a larger role in CRM and other technologies, Salesforce is committed to helping its workforce and the broader community develop AI skills. These training facilities will support both Salesforce employees and local community members in upskilling for the growing demand for AI expertise.

Sustainability is another key focus of the Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru. The building is designed to meet high environmental standards, with plans to earn LEED Gold certification. LEED certification recognizes buildings that prioritize energy efficiency, water conservation, and the use of sustainable materials. Salesforce is committed to reducing its environmental impact and achieving net-zero carbon emissions.

Salesforce currently employs over 13,000 people across India, with offices in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, and Jaipur. The new tower in Bengaluru will further strengthen its presence, allowing the company to tap into India's expanding talent pools. The new Salesforce Tower will also enhance the company’s ability to serve its Indian clients.

Many of India’s leading companies, such as Air India, Monte Carlo, and Tata Consumer Products, use Salesforce’s CRM tools to streamline operations and improve productivity. With a larger office in Bengaluru, Salesforce will be able to work more closely with these clients, helping them make the most of its technology and solutions.

Salesforce’s operations in India began in 2016 with the launch of its Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad. Since then, the company has expanded its presence in the country and continues to play a significant role in innovation and support within Salesforce’s global network. India has become an important hub for Salesforce’s research and development (R&D), helping to meet the needs of both local and international clients.

Salesforce’s financial performance in India supports its expansion. In FY24, the company’s net profit in India rose by 40%, reaching ₹888.3 crore, with revenue increasing by 36% to ₹9,116 crore, surpassing $1 billion for the first time. The construction of the new Salesforce Tower in Bengaluru is in line with this positive growth trajectory.
