Modernized Digital Land Records Programme Launched by Rajasthan Government Under CM Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, launched the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) for the Amet tehsil in Rajsamand district. This initiative focuses on digitizing and modernizing land records in Rajasthan to improve transparency, accuracy, and accessibility in land management.

The virtual inauguration was attended by government officials and dignitaries, with the event held at the Amet tehsil headquarters. MLA Shri Surendra Singh Rathor spoke about the importance of the project in assisting the farming community and landowners. He stated, “This initiative will ensure accurate, accessible, and transparent land records for our citizens, removing long-standing hurdles and benefiting rural communities immensely.”

Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, in his virtual address, highlighted the government’s focus on using technology to improve public services. He said, “This modernization initiative is a step forward in making Rajasthan a leader in digital governance. It empowers our citizens by providing seamless access to land records and ensuring fairness in land ownership.”

Arahas Technologies, led by CEO Mr. Saurabh Rai, played a key role in implementing the project using advanced technologies, such as the Ground Control Network, survey tools, and digital data integration. Mr. Rai said, “This project exemplifies how innovation can drive social and economic progress. We are honored to be part of this transformative journey.” Arahas Technologies' involvement has been essential in ensuring the technical success of the project.

During the event, updated maps, digitized land ownership records, and boundary adjustments for over 600 villages in the Amet tehsil were presented. The initiative ensures accurate land measurements, simplifies administrative processes, and helps reduce land ownership disputes. This modernization is aligned with the Rajasthan government’s goal of empowering citizens and fostering growth in the agricultural sector. Citizens were also provided with their updated digital land records at the event.

This project is part of the Rajasthan government’s larger vision to create a “Samriddh Kisan, Khushhaal Kisan” (Prosperous Farmer, Happy Farmer) environment. By modernizing land records, the government aims to improve land ownership clarity, facilitate credit access, and strengthen the socio-economic position of farmers.

The Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme sets an example for other states in India, showing how digital solutions can improve governance and service delivery. With the successful launch in Amet tehsil, Rajasthan is taking steps to digitize and modernize land records, benefiting citizens and supporting rural development.

The project’s success in Amet tehsil demonstrates the potential for digital governance in land record management. It is expected to reduce disputes and improve the efficiency of land-related processes, which will have a positive impact on the state’s development. Other regions in Rajasthan and India may follow this model as the country moves toward greater digital transformation in governance.
