  • Business Focus: Founded in 2024, Lorazzo operates in kitchen and bathroom fittings, offering products such as bidets, faucets, sinks and modular accessories.
  • Market Positioning: Targets the gap between mass-market hardware and expensive imported brands, catering to urban consumers seeking modern design at accessible prices.
  • Growth Opportunity: Rising urbanisation, higher spending on home upgrades, and a fragmented market create strong scale-up potential for organised, design-led brands.

Home improvement startup Lorazzo has raised Rs 5 crore in its seed funding round. The round was led by Sprout Venture Partners and First Cheque by India Quotient, with participation from the Chandigarh Angel Network and a few angel investors. The fund, raising event is a key milestone for the New Delhi based company as it plans to scale up its operations in India's rapidly changing home improvement and fittings market.

Lorazzo said that the capital infusion will be mainly used for supporting product development, upgrading design and technology capabilities, and widening distribution both online and offline. The company is concentrating on developing a unique product portfolio that caters to the needs of urban consumers who are looking for a perfect blend of functionality, aesthetics, and value.

Established in 2024, Lorazzo is a kitchen and bathroom fittings brand that sells ranges of bidets, kitchen faucets, sinks and modular accessories. It is a mid-segment brand between mass market hardware products and premium imported brands, catering to buyers who want trendy designs without high prices.

The startup investors share a view that the home improvement and hardware segment in India is still very fragmented, thus opening the door to organised players who can create scalable brands. Even though urbanisation is on the rise and so is the expenditure on home renovation, the market is still mainly dominated by unorganised manufacturers and a handful of premium global brands.

Key focus areas for Lorazzo following the fundraise include:

Expanding product offerings in kitchen and bathroom fittings

Strengthening in-house design and technology-led innovation

Building a wider distribution network across digital and physical retail

Kanika Agarwal, partner at India Quotient, highlighted the structural gap in the market and the potential for emerging brands to grow by addressing evolving consumer preferences. “The category continues to be divided between low-cost mass products and expensive global brands. Companies that address this gap with differentiated offerings have the potential to scale,” she said.

As a result of increased disposable incomes and the growing importance of home aesthetics, kitchen and bathroom areas have emerged as an important focus point for consumers, particularly in the metro and tier-I cities. This has led to a demand for products that are a combination of design, durability, and smart functionality.

Sahil Gupta, partner at Sprout Venture Partners, said that changing consumer preferences are driving growth opportunities in the segment. He said demand for premium and smart home solutions is increasing among urban consumers, creating opportunities for new entrants with a focused product strategy.

Industry experts note that fresh entrants like Lorazzo have the potential to take advantage of major trends like rapid urbanization, the nuclear family, and home renovation. As competition heats up, the main determinant of success would be the innovativeness in design, pricing, and distribution.

As per, IMARC report, the India home improvement services market size reached USD 12.10 Billion in 2024. Looking forward, it is expected that the market will reach USD 17.08 Billion by 2033, exhibiting a growth rate (CAGR) of 3.90% during 2025-2033.

The India home improvement services market share is expanding, driven by increasing collaborations between builders and home improvement service providers to offer furnished or semi-furnished properties, along with the expansion of e-commerce sites that provide competitive pricing and convenient booking choices.

After securing funding, Lorazzo is gearing up to increase its brand presence and capture a larger segment of the Indian home improvement market which is still evolving, by presenting a stylish, design, led option that is at the same time more affordable than foreign brands and cleaner than the unorganized segment.
