Bengaluru-based listed real estate developer Brigade Group has announced a joint development agreement for a new residential project in South Bengaluru, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of ₹1,200 crore. The project is located in Banashankari, 5th Stage, and will span 7.5 acres, reflecting the company’s ongoing focus on strategically located, large-scale developments.
Brigade Group highlighted that Banashankari offers a unique combination of heritage, connectivity, and established social and physical infrastructure, making it an ideal location for quality residential development.
According to Pavitra Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises Ltd., the project aims to deliver thoughtfully designed homes that enhance urban living while contributing to Bengaluru’s broader economic and social growth. The location benefits from proximity to major transport links and essential city amenities, aligning with the company’s strategy to provide accessible, modern housing options for a growing urban population.
The Banashankari project is part of Brigade Group’s broader residential pipeline, which currently includes around 12.61 million square feet of new developments across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
This announcement follows several other major initiatives by the group in Bengaluru. Earlier in January 2025, Brigade Group signed an agreement to develop a residential land parcel on Whitefield-Hoskote Road with a potential GDV of ₹2,700 crore.
The project spans 20 acres, offering approximately 2.5 million square feet of saleable area, with a total land cost of around ₹630 crore, and is being executed through its subsidiary Ananthay Properties Private Limited. In April 2025, the group also entered a joint development agreement for a plotted residential project in East Bengaluru with a GDV of ₹175 crore. These initiatives reflect the company’s consistent strategy of expanding its footprint across key residential micro-markets in Bengaluru.
Brigade Group’s focus on joint development agreements allows it to leverage partnerships to deliver large-scale projects efficiently while maintaining design and construction standards.
