NBCC Secures ₹15,000 Crore Project to Develop 406-Acre Satellite Township in Srinagar

NBCC (India) Ltd, the government’s premier construction and project management consultancy firm, has secured a massive ₹15,000 crore project to develop a 406-acre satellite township in Srinagar. This ambitious project, which aims to transform the landscape of the region, was announced through a regulatory filing on August 9, 2024, and marks a significant milestone in the urban development efforts in Jammu and Kashmir.

Strategic Partnership and Vision

The Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) has collaborated with NBCC to realize this large-scale township, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines the project's execution from conception to commissioning. This collaboration is particularly noteworthy given the strategic importance of Srinagar in the context of Jammu and Kashmir’s ongoing development. The township is strategically located at Rakh Gund Aksha, Bemina, adjacent to the upcoming Medi City and High Court Complex, providing future residents and businesses with a prime location that is expected to see considerable growth and investment.
