Jaipur Development Authority Introduces Digital Service for Property Fee Calculation
The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has launched an online service that enables residents to calculate lease deed charges and associated fees. This tool is currently available for residents of the Prithviraj Nagar (PRN) region, with plans to expand its functionality to other zones once data from additional authorized colonies is incorporated. This digital service eliminates the need for plot owners to visit the JDA premises, making it more convenient for users to access necessary information.
To use the service, plot owners must visit the JDA website and select the option titled “Calculator for Lease Deed / Patta – Prithviraj Nagar Only.” By entering details such as the property area and the date of the colony’s first camp, users can receive a detailed breakdown of charges. These charges include lease deed fees, name transfer costs, subdivision charges, plot reorganization expenses, allotment fees, administrative costs, development charges, and other relevant fees.
The system also calculates specific contributions, such as urban Jamabandi, BSUP shelter funds, building construction approval fees, and rainwater conservation security. This ensures that all costs associated with a property are clearly outlined for residents, covering both residential and commercial properties. The goal of this initiative is to provide transparent and accessible information to property owners while reducing the need for physical interactions at JDA offices.
Previously, residents had to visit the JDA premises for fee calculations, a process that often involved delays and required multiple visits. By introducing this online tool, JDA aims to save time and effort for property owners while enhancing transparency in its operations. The auto-calculation feature simplifies the process, providing instant results that residents can access from their homes.
While the current functionality is limited to Prithviraj Nagar, JDA officials have expressed their intention to expand the service across all zones in Jaipur. The extension will depend on the integration of property data from other regions into the system. Once complete, this facility will be available to a broader audience, benefiting property owners throughout the city.
This initiative is part of JDA’s efforts to modernize its operations through technology. By offering an online platform for calculating fees, the authority aims to improve its service delivery and reduce the administrative burden on its staff. The tool is expected to set a precedent for other civic bodies, highlighting the benefits of digital governance in urban management.
The auto-calculation facility not only simplifies the process for property owners but also ensures transparency by providing a detailed breakdown of all charges. It accommodates different types of properties, ensuring that both residential and commercial property owners can benefit from the service. Users can now access accurate and reliable information without any delays, which helps in better financial planning for property-related transactions. JDA plans to expand the service to make the digital service more accessible and comprehensive.
