The Income Tax Department carried out extensive raids across 18 locations linked to real estate and pan masala businesses in Jaipur and Kota on Tuesday. Nearly 150 officers were deployed as part of the operation, which officials said was triggered by complaints of tax evasion, undeclared income, and large cash transactions.
The raids focused on several entities, including the High Fly Real Estate Group in Jaipur, whose eight offices were reportedly searched. Authorities are investigating alleged large-scale cash dealings, undisclosed property transactions, and the use of benami accounts.
In addition, three locations connected to Siddheshwar Gums, the company behind Signature Pan Masala in Kota, were raided. Officials said the company is under investigation for irregular financial records and suspected tax evasion. Six locations of the Gokul Kripa Group, including BRB Developers in Jaipur, were also targeted for alleged undeclared income and suspicious property transactions.
Investigators examined documents, digital records, and computer systems at all locations. Sources suggested the searches could lead to the recovery of significant amounts of cash and supporting documentation.
Officials noted that the groups under investigation had been monitored for several months. The real estate sector, in particular, had been flagged for benami deals and complex financial arrangements intended to conceal undeclared wealth. The Income Tax Department has not yet released an official statement, and further details on seizures and findings are awaited.
The raids created concern among business communities in Jaipur and Kota, particularly among those connected to the targeted groups. The scale of the operation and the number of locations searched indicate the department’s focus on uncovering concealed assets and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
This operation follows other recent high-profile raids, including searches on medical equipment traders in Bhopal, Indore, and Mumbai, where authorities seized documents and questioned company officials over suspected tax evasion. These actions form part of broader efforts by the Income Tax Department to monitor and address undeclared income across multiple sectors.
Authorities are expected to review the findings and determine further action based on the evidence collected. The ongoing inquiry is likely to have significant implications for the companies involved, and officials will continue to monitor the situation closely as investigations progress.
