Mangaluru Civic Body Starts E-Khata Drive for Unauthorized Properties

The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has launched a new initiative to provide e-khatas to owners of unauthorized properties in the city. Until now, only officially recognized properties were eligible for e-khatas through the e-property software. However, the new campaign aims to extend this facility to properties that were previously not approved by planning authorities.

This move is expected to benefit thousands of property owners, making it easier for them to legally register and manage their property records. So far, the city has already issued around 39,000 e-khatas since the system was implemented in 2022.
