L&T Secures Major Orders for Building Projects in Mumbai and Hyderabad
The Buildings & Factories (B&F) vertical of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured multiple real estate orders in India. It has secured an order from the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad for constructing a super-speciality hospital at Gachibowli in the city. Further, an order has been secured from a prestigious client for the construction of office space in Mumbai.
Hyderabad Project: Super-Speciality Hospital
One of the key projects awarded to L&T is the construction of a super-speciality hospital for the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. This project includes the development of civil structures, interiors, paramedical and external development jobs, and landscaping. The total built-up area for this project is approximately 11 lakh square feet, highlighting the scale and complexity of the undertaking.
Mumbai Project: Office Space Construction
In addition to the Hyderabad project, L&T has also been commissioned to construct an office space in Mumbai. This project involves the creation of a built-up area of about 13 lakh square feet, featuring civil and composite steel structures for a building with two basements, a ground floor, six podium levels, and 18 office floors. Scheduled for completion in 20 months, this project underscores L&T's expertise in executing fast-track steel structures using advanced composite steel technology.

These orders fall under the "significant" category as per L&T's classification, meaning their combined value is estimated to be between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore. This classification indicates substantial revenue potential and reflects the trust that clients place in L&T's capabilities.

These new orders come shortly after L&T secured a major offshore contract from the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the Daman Upside Development Project-Wellhead Platforms & Pipelines (DUDP-WP). The contract, awarded to L&T Energy's Hydrocarbon vertical, involves engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of four wellhead platforms, a 140-kilometer pipeline, and associated topside modifications at the Tapti Daman block off India's west coast. This order is categorized as "large" by L&T, with an estimated value between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore.
