Suryakumar Yadav has made his first property investment in the UAE, buying a home in Dubai’s upscale Maritime City district. The India T20 captain announced the milestone on Instagram on 14 October. He shared a video with his wife, Devisha Shetty, as they completed the paperwork for their new waterfront residence.

The property is part of Shahrukhz Residence by Danube, developed by Danube Properties. The project is positioned as a premium waterfront address in the heart of Dubai Maritime City. It offers over 40 lifestyle and wellness amenities.

One feature that reportedly influenced Suryakumar’s decision was the Longevity Lounge. It is a distinctive wellness space aimed at recovery, relaxation and healthy living. The exact price and apartment configuration have not been made public. The move signals the cricketer’s growing interest in international real estate.

Why Dubai, in his words

In the video, Suryakumar spoke about three things: familiarity, lifestyle and safety. He first came to the city for the IPL in 2014 and returned in 2020.

“We have played IPL here. I came here in 2014, and then again in 2020. People in India are looking at Dubai. The luxury and the standard of living here are different. Where I live in Mumbai, there is safety too, but Dubai is also very good on safety. I get a lot of comfort here, and a lot of happiness too.”

A growing portfolio

The Dubai home adds to a property list that is already large in Mumbai. Suryakumar and Devisha own three apartments at Godrej Sky Terraces, a 1.05-acre project in Deonar.

In March 2025, the couple bought two apartments on the 17th and 18th floors for ₹21.11 crore, per Square Yards, which cited IGR Maharashtra records. The units have a combined carpet area of about 4,222 sq ft and a built-up area of about 4,568 sq ft. The deal included six parking spaces and ₹1.26 crore in stamp duty.

In February 2026, Devisha bought a third apartment in the same project. The 1,500 sq ft unit cost ₹7.18 crore and was registered on 20 February 2026, per CRE Matrix. The seller is Godrej Properties. The deal includes two parking spaces and ₹35.90 lakh in stamp duty. Possession is due in June 2028.

The three apartments were registered at about ₹28.3 crore in total. The project’s average price is ₹52,433 per sq ft, per Square Yards. He also owns a house in Anushakti Nagar, Chembur, the neighbourhood where he joined a cricket camp at the age of 10, according to earlier profile reports.
