IKEA India has launched its first store in Delhi at Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden. The 15,000 sq. ft. store offers more than 2,000 products on display, with around 800 available for immediate purchase. The move brings the IKEA retail experience closer to customers in West Delhi and nearby areas.

The launch follows IKEA India’s online entry into the Delhi-NCR region earlier this year. The new store is part of the company’s broader omnichannel strategy, which combines e-commerce, large-format stores, city stores, and Plan and Order Points. This approach allows customers to access a seamless shopping experience both online and offline.

The Pacific Mall store is designed under the company’s city-store concept, offering a curated selection of products, including furniture, kitchen solutions, and home accessories. Customers can also order items from the full IKEA catalogue, with fulfilment managed through the Customer Distribution Centre (CDC) in Farrukhnagar. The CDC, spanning 1,80,000 sq. ft., supports replenishment and delivery for North India and will serve as the hub for the new Delhi store and other northern locations.

IKEA India has introduced a ‘One Click, 30 Minutes Away’ model for the store. Large-format outlets in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Navi Mumbai provide the full IKEA experience. City-format stores such as the new Delhi outlet focus on accessibility, planning services, and curated solutions to high-footfall locations. The Plan and Order Point in East Bengaluru addresses personalised needs for kitchens and wardrobes.

To manage daily replenishment at the mall without loading docks, IKEA India uses electric hydraulic vehicles. These vehicles handle the movement of products for immediate sale and the delivery of larger orders from the CDC. The company maintains daily restocking of the 800 products available for purchase while ensuring the balance between sustainability and operational efficiency.

“The Delhi store allows customers to see, touch, and plan with our products. This launch reflects our commitment to making IKEA accessible and relevant for more people in India,” said Patrik Antoni, CEO of IKEA India.

The store’s product offering includes smaller furniture items, home décor, and accessories. Customers can browse the full catalogue and place orders for delivery from the CDC. The city-format model enables IKEA to reach urban areas where traditional large-format stores may not be feasible due to space and infrastructure constraints.

IKEA India’s expansion follows a cluster-based strategy for North, Central, and South India. Currently, the company operates three large-format stores in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Navi Mumbai; one city store in Worli; one Plan and Order Point in Bengaluru; and two full-format stores under development in Gurugram and Noida. The company also leads carbon-free deliveries in multiple northern cities, including Agra, Prayagraj, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ludhiana, and Varanasi.

The new Delhi store strengthens IKEA India’s presence in the capital and complements its existing e-commerce operations, launched in March 2025. The combination of online and offline retail channels allows the company to offer a personalised and efficient shopping experience to customers across Delhi and the surrounding region.

With this launch, IKEA India aims to increase accessibility, streamline fulfilment, and provide planning and ordering services tailored to urban shoppers. The expansion highlights the company’s commitment to combining operational efficiency with a customer-centric approach, ensuring product availability and timely delivery across multiple channels.
