In a significant move towards enhancing transparency and accountability in the real estate sector, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA) has announced plans to conduct training programs for both new and existing real estate agents across the state. The initiative aims to provide agents with in-depth knowledge about the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA Act), its provisions, and compliance, along with UPRERA Rules 2016, regulations, and directives issued by the Authority.
Certification Program Details
The three-day training program, set to commence in April 2024 in Lucknow, will cover various aspects of the real estate regulatory framework. Agents participating in the program will undergo sessions on the RERA Act, UPRERA rules, and the role and responsibilities of stakeholders in the real estate ecosystem. The program also includes an emphasis on sensitizing agents about the structure of the regulatory authority and fostering an understanding of the interests of homebuyers.
Mandatory Training for RERA Registration
Officials from UPRERA have highlighted that the training and certification program is not only an opportunity for skill enhancement but has also been made mandatory for new agents seeking RERA registration. This move underlines the Authority's commitment to elevating the standards of professionalism and competence among real estate agents, ultimately benefiting the consumers by ensuring a more informed and responsible real estate ecosystem.
Boosting Credibility and Trust
The training and certification program is anticipated to play a pivotal role in boosting the credibility of real estate agents. By equipping them with a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape and instilling a sense of accountability, UPRERA aims to foster a more transparent and consumer-centric real estate market in Uttar Pradesh.
As UPRERA takes the lead in educating and certifying real estate agents, the initiative is poised to bring about positive changes in the industry. By enhancing the knowledge base and professionalism of agents, UPRERA strives to create an environment where homebuyers can make informed decisions, further contributing to the growth and stability of the real estate market in Uttar Pradesh.
