Godrej​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Properties Limited (GPL) revealed that they have acquired a 5-acre piece of land in Hyderabad through an e-auction conducted by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). The company is planning to develop a high-end residential colony with a revenue potential of ₹4,150 ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌crore.

The plot is located in Neopolis, Kokapet, an upscale residential micro-market in Hyderabad, which is close to the Financial District and HITEC City. The locality has seen extensive road and other infrastructure works, which are supported by the presence of a cluster of world-class tech companies, international schools, retail, and healthcare hubs.

GPL was the highest bidder on the MSTC Ltd. e-tendering portal, and after the necessary formalities, HMDA will issue the allotment letters. The ensuing construction is projected to have a saleable area of approximately 2.5 million sq. ft. to serve the increasing demand for luxury apartments in the metropolis.

This purchase is only a few moments away, in time from when GPL bought a nearly 7.825-acre land parcel in Kukatpally in August 2025, thus cementing the company's footprint in Hyderabad. It​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ is a clear indication of both a strong housing demand and Godrej Properties Limited's (GPL) strategic focus on the region that with the city becoming one of Godrej Properties' top 3 markets contributing highest to the sales turnover unit sale crossing ₹2,600 crore in the 2025 calender year, GPL has been able to cash in on the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌rise.
