Truliv, one of India's biggest co-living operators, has officially unveiled Truliv Hercules, the country's largest and first-ever project that was completely custom-designed and built for co-living, truly changing how young Indian professionals live today. Located right in Chennai's bustling OMR corridor, this massive 1,39,776 sq. ft. development features 728 beds spread across 14 floors, marking a huge step forward for India's managed housing sector.
India’s co-living market is set to boom, expected to grow at an annual rate of over 15% by 2027. This growth is fueled by more people moving to cities, flexible work setups, and young people wanting a life that's centred on convenience. Truliv Hercules is right at the forefront of this trend, giving the new generation of workers affordable but seriously aspirational places to live.
This whole project was conceptualised and executed using Truliv's unique Build–Sell–Lease–Operate (B.S.L.O) model. That's why Truliv Hercules is the first co-living property in India to be designed specifically for the needs of young urban professionals, right from the moment the land was acquired. Developed in partnership with DRA Group, the property officially opened its doors in March 2024 and instantly set a new high standard for scale, efficiency, and resident experience in the co-living world.
Every detail in Truliv Hercules was built to seamlessly blend comfort, community, and technology. Everything here is set up to make your life easy and keep you connected. You can instantly take care of bookings, payments, and any service requests right through the Truliv mobile app. Plus, with things like smart meters, biometric access, and digital dashboards, the whole experience is incredibly smooth and totally secure.
Safety and sustainability were massive priorities in the design. Truliv Hercules provides round-the-clock CCTV, robust fire safety systems, trained security staff, and medical help just a call away. For the residents, Hercules is a safe, comfortable space where residents genuinely feel at home. Community events bring people together and create a vibrant social atmosphere. With interest-specific clubs, residents can explore hobbies and connect with like-minded peers.
The spot they chose is a huge plus. It’s right there on Navalur. It's near all the major IT parks and business centers, it’s basically the absolute best home base for any professional working along Chennai's OMR corridor. The area's strong infrastructure, high rental demand, and the solid backing of investor developers by DRA Group make this a strategic launchpad for Truliv’s growth across South India.
Truliv Hercules is more than just another co-living building—it's a vision we made happen," said Mr. Rohit Reddy, CEO & Co-founder. "With our B.S.L.O model, we can manage every single step, from the moment we buy the land all the way through daily operations. That means we don't just promise efficiency; we guarantee a lifestyle that actually works for young professionals. Our whole focus is on creating places that feel like a real home, not just some temporary hostel."
With Hercules now its major flagship property, Truliv is rapidly expanding its presence across India’s major cities. The company currently manages over 2,200 beds across more than 22 properties in Chennai, has signed deals for 1,500 beds in Pune, and has a pipeline of over 3,000 beds planned for Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Truliv's goal is to hit more than 10,000 beds within the next three years, cementing its position as a clear leader in India’s co-living scene.
As India's urban workforce keeps getting bigger, Truliv is set to lead the charge in redefining urban communities by mixing technology, sustainability, and brilliant design to create spaces where a good work-life balance and a strong community can flourish side-by-side.
