Mount Roofing Sets New World Record with 1.2 Lakh Sq Ft PEB Construction in 64 Hours

Mount Roofing & Structures Pvt Ltd, a Bengaluru-based company, has set a world record by constructing a 1.2 lakh sq. ft. pre-engineered building (PEB) in just 64 hours. The project, executed at the KIADB Industrial Area in Sira, Tumkur, Karnataka.

The World Book of Records Limited, United Kingdom, officially recognized this accomplishment. Santosh Shukla, an adjudicator from the organization, confirmed the record at a presentation ceremony. This achievement highlights advancements in industrial construction techniques and Karnataka’s growing expertise in rapid infrastructure development.

M B Patil, Karnataka’s Minister for Large & Medium Scale Industries and Infrastructure Development, attended the event as the chief guest. He emphasized that the project demonstrates Karnataka’s commitment to industrial infrastructure development and its ability to execute large-scale projects efficiently. He also noted that the state continues to adopt engineering innovations and modern construction methodologies to strengthen its industrial sector.

Commissioned by DhaSh PV Technologies, the record-setting structure is part of a Rs 346.35 crore solar PV manufacturing plant. The facility will be used for producing solar PV junction boxes, contributing to India’s renewable energy sector and domestic manufacturing capabilities.

Sher Singh, Managing Director of Mount Roofing & Structures Pvt Ltd, highlighted the significance of PEB technology in industrial construction. He noted that pre-engineered buildings enhance efficiency, accelerate project timelines, and reduce costs, making them an ideal solution for large-scale industrial projects.

The construction process involved detailed planning, advanced machinery, and streamlined workflows. Pre-fabricated components were produced in controlled environments and assembled on-site, significantly cutting down construction time while maintaining structural integrity and quality. PEB structures are increasingly being used in industrial projects due to their ability to deliver rapid results without compromising durability.

This successful project further strengthens Karnataka’s reputation as a center for industrial and technological innovation.
