The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has initiated an e-auction process to sell around 200 vacant residential plots across multiple housing schemes in the city. These plots, varying in size from 60 to 252 square meters, are spread across prominent locations such as Basant Kunj, Priyadarshani Colony, Kanpur Road scheme, Gomtinagar, and Gomtinagar extension. According to LDA officials, the list of available plots along with location details, area, and starting prices has been published on the authority's official website.

The e-auction is open to all eligible applicants, and those interested must register on the LDA portal to participate. This move is part of the authority's broader strategy to make land allocation more transparent and citizen-friendly by using digital platforms. The objective is to efficiently utilize unused plots and offer homebuyers and investors credible opportunities within the city limits. Officials have noted that many of these plots have remained vacant for extended periods, and the e-auction provides a structured mechanism to bring them into productive use.

LDA has stated that this effort aligns with its ongoing drive to improve housing availability in Lucknow and optimize land assets under its control. The authority expects that digitizing the allocation process will reduce procedural bottlenecks and promote greater participation from the public. The plots on offer come with clearly defined parameters, allowing buyers to make informed decisions based on size, locality, and base price.

While plot allotments in the past were often conducted through manual or semi-digital systems, this shift to complete online auctions reflects the authority’s push towards digitization and governance reforms. The auction dates and bidding instructions are expected to be made available soon on the LDA’s online portal. Prospective buyers are encouraged to track the portal regularly for updates and timelines.
