The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has introduced a new scheme offering over 600 flats at discounted rates in various categories, including LIG (lower income group) and MIG (middle-income group). This initiative, part of the ongoing Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023, aims to make affordable housing more accessible to the public.

Under this scheme, prospective buyers can avail discounts ranging from 15 to 25 percent on flats located in Narela and Ramgarh Colony near Jahangirpuri. While the general public is eligible for a 15 percent discount, government employees, including those from central and state governments, autonomous bodies, local bodies, and PSUs, along with retired DDA employees, can enjoy a 25 percent discount.

The discounted flats comprise 445 2BHK MIG flats and 211 1BHK LIG apartments. For example, the normal pricing of 2BHK flats in Narela ranges from Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.02 crore, but after the discount, they will be available for Rs 75 lakh to Rs 87 lakh. Similarly, LIG flats, originally priced between Rs 15.3 lakh to Rs 16.9 lakh, will be offered at discounted rates ranging from Rs 13.1 lakh to Rs 14.5 lakh.

Additionally, the DDA is offering 1042 flats in HIG (higher income group) and LIG categories at old prices. These flats are situated in Jasola, Rohini, Siraspur, and Loknayakpuram, with prices ranging from Rs 14 lakh to Rs 2.18 crore.

Both schemes operate on a first-come-first-serve basis, aiming to clear inventory and boost sales of affordable and mid-segment housing in Delhi.
