Amitabh Bachchan Acquires 54,454 Sq Ft Land in Ayodhya for Charitable Purposes
Actor Amitabh Bachchan has made another investment in Ayodhya by purchasing a 54,454 square feet plot, located approximately 10 kilometers away from the Ram Mandir. This marks his second land purchase in the city, following his acquisition of property in Haveli Avadh in January 2024. The recent transaction was carried out through the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust, established in 2013 in memory of his father.
According to a report by the Times of India, the purchase was facilitated by Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav on behalf of the actor. The assistant inspector general of the stamp and registration department in Ayodhya, Pratap Singh, confirmed the transaction but stated that the purpose of the land would only be clear once the building plan is approved by the local development authority.
Bachchan’s earlier acquisition in Haveli Avadh, valued at ₹4.54 crore, is reportedly intended for residential use. In contrast, the newly acquired larger plot is expected to be used for charitable purposes, though specific details about the planned projects remain undisclosed at this stage.
