Actress Gauhar Khan Purchases Three Apartments Worth ₹10.13 Crore in Mumbai’s Versova

Gauhar Khan, the Indian actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder, has purchased three properties worth a total of ₹10.13 crore in Versova, Mumbai. According to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards on the Maharashtra Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website, all three apartments are part of the same residential project. One of the transactions was registered solely in Khan’s name, while the other two were purchased jointly with her husband, Zaid Darbar. The transactions were officially registered in February 2025.

Versova, located in Mumbai’s western suburbs, is a well-connected residential micro-market with access to key commercial and entertainment hubs. It benefits from strong transport infrastructure, including the Metro, which provides connectivity to major business districts. Road networks such as Link Road and the Western Express Highway ensure seamless access to Andheri, Bandra, and other key locations. The locality also offers well-established social infrastructure, including reputed educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and retail developments, making it a preferred choice for both end-users and investors.

As per the IGR property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards, all three properties were purchased in Shiv Kutir Co-operative Housing Society Limited in Versova. In the purchase transaction registered solely under Gauhar Khan’s name, she bought an apartment for Rs. 2.80 crore. The carpet area was 1,104.75 sq. ft. (~102.64 sq. m.), and the built-up area was 123.20 sq. m. (~1,326.11 sq. ft.). The agreement also included one car parking space. The transaction incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 13.98 lakh and a registration charge of Rs. 30,000.

In another transaction, Gauhar Khan and Zaid Darbar jointly purchased two apartments in the same project, as per Square Yards' analysis of IGR property registration records. The total cost of both apartments was Rs. 7.33 crore. The total carpet area was 2,393 sq. ft. (~222.32 sq. m.), and the total built-up area was 266.87 sq. m. (~2,872.56 sq. ft.). The agreement included a total of two car parking spaces. The transaction incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 43.97 lakh and a registration charge of Rs. 30,000.

According to Square Yards' Project Data Intelligence, a total of five transactions amounting to a gross transaction value of Rs. 14 crore were registered with IGR in Shiv Kutir CHS between February 2024 and January 2025. Currently, the average resale property price in the project stands at Rs. 25,387 per sq. ft.

Mumbai’s property market continues to attract investors and end-users, with demand for well-located residential projects remaining steady. Versova’s accessibility, combined with its residential appeal, has led to an increase in high-value transactions. The presence of social infrastructure and transport connectivity further contributes to its attractiveness.

Khan’s investment highlights the demand for residential properties in Mumbai’s western suburbs. The transactions reflect the ongoing trend of homebuyers and investors opting for properties in established residential areas. As real estate activity in the region continues, Versova remains a sought-after destination for property buyers.
