Salman Khan, the megastar of Bollywood, through Salman Khan Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (SKV), is going to pump in a massive ₹10,000 crore in the state of Telangana. This project, announced at the Telangana Rising Global Summit in early December 2025, is going to be a combination of a futuristic film studio and a 500-acre integrated township, thus making the state a center of both creative and urban activities.
The announcement was preceded by the strategic talks between Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Salman Khan held in Mumbai in the last week of October 2025. As per the news, the actor was taken by the fast infrastructural and technological development of Telangana and showed wholehearted willingness to be a part of the creative economy of the state. The resultant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) gives the green light to the large-scale project which, in turn, is expected to usher in the era of more job opportunities, tourism, and urbanization.
The township would be a net of luxury residential complexes, posh commercial spaces, and extensive lifestyle amenities. Some of the notable features would be luxury living, well-maintained green spaces, sports facilities of international standards, a race course, and nature trails thus, making it a self-sufficient high-end urban ecosystem. Apart from these, SKV is planning to build world-class hotels and entertainment zones that will add to the township’s attraction as a high-end leisure destination.
The entertainment part is a big dream to build a huge-scale studio that can accommodate productions of Bollywood, Hollywood, and South Indian. Along with the studio, the film creating activities will be facilitated with super-modern post-production units, VFX studios, and sound stages that can be used for big-budget projects. The set-up of a fully fledged talent development program will assure the training of local actors, technicians, and creative professionals to be up to international standards and thus, will ensure a continuous supply of trained manpower for future productions.
Such an integration of luxurious living, tourism, and creative infrastructure is likely to make Telangana a production hotspot on a global scale. Besides, the project might be instrumental in fostering collaboration between the North and South of the Indian film industry, it may also be the reason behind the inflow of international projects, and finally, it could be the elevation of Hyderabad into a major hub for media and entertainment.
The ₹10,000-crore investment is expected to generate a large number of both direct and indirect job opportunities spread over different sectors. Among the job-giving sectors, we may mention construction, hospitality, technical film services, retail, and tourism, where both skilled and semi-skilled workers will find employment.
The analysts’ point of view is that such enormous projects can become a powerful tool in raising Telangana’s economic profile by making it a more attractive place for private investors and thus, help in broadening the state’s industrial base not only in IT but also in traditional manufacturing. Furthermore, the blend of top-end real estate and tourism-focused amenities may act as a source for the luxury economy of the state that will attract both local and foreign visitors.
From a market perspective, such integrated projects on a large scale have the ability to alter the dynamics of regional real estate. The effect of premium housing and lifestyle amenities in a planned township can be the increase of property value, the attraction of high-net-worth residents, and the boosting of luxury retail consumption. Together with the focus on media and entertainment, the township is an uncommon investment in urban real estate, tourism, and the creative industry.
However, a new production facility of this scale would most certainly be a breath of fresh air for the entertainment industry, as it would free them from the large and old production centres of Mumbai and Chennai. What the entertainment sector would get out of the deal is a fully integrated ecosystem in Telangana that could accommodate big productions of films, web series, or TV shows. With modern studios, post-production units, and a skilled workforce being available under one roof, film-makers and OTT platforms may consider Telangana as a technically up-to-date yet budget-friendly region.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was pleased with the move and said that it would strengthen Telangana's position as one of the most attractive destinations in India for filming, entertainment, and luxury tourism. The government's support in the facilitation of the project is expected to be a major factor in the quick accomplishment of the project, which is, indeed, turning the announcements into tangible economic and social results.
As per the recent, Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document, CM stated , From a $200 billion State GDP economy, we wish to become a $1 trillion economy within a decade, by 2034. This five-fold growth would have been possible, with a natural historic course, in 25-odd years. But, with clear strategies, consistent and globally competitive policies, we will achieve this target by 2034. The government will then use its own strength thereon to achieve a $3 trillion State economy by 2047, when India will celebrate her 100 years of Independence. Today, while Telangana, with 2.5% of India’s population, contributes to around 5% of the national GDP, we wish to double it, to become a source of 10% of India’s GDP. The township project aligns with his vision.
The Salman Khan Ventures township in the state of Telangana is a fusion of luxury residential real estate, entertainment infrastructure, and city planning. If everything works out as planned, it may literally have the power to convert Hyderabad into a global creative and lifestyle destination, create a huge number of jobs, and bring a wave of economic prosperity to the state during the next ten years.
