Telangana Government and CtrlS Datacenters Sign MoU for AI Datacenter Cluster

The Telangana Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CtrlS Datacenters Limited to establish an AI Datacenter Cluster in the state. This agreement was finalized during the World Economic Forum in Davos and is a significant step in strengthening Telangana’s position as a leader in digital infrastructure. The proposed AI Datacenter Cluster will have a capacity of 400 MW and an investment of ₹10,000 crores. This project is expected to create 3,600 jobs, both direct and indirect, and contribute to the state's economy through additional tax revenues.

Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized that this collaboration is a crucial milestone in the state's journey toward becoming a global leader in digital infrastructure and technology. He highlighted how the project would not only enhance the state’s IT capabilities but also create substantial employment opportunities, helping achieve inclusive growth. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Special Chief Secretary of the ITE&C Department, pointed out that Telangana’s policies, including the Data Center Policy and TG-iPASS framework, have been designed to attract large-scale IT investments. These policies aim to streamline processes and provide a favorable environment for businesses to thrive.

Sridhara Pinnapureddy, the Founder and CEO of CtrlS Datacenters, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that the AI Datacenter Cluster would set new standards in innovation and digital infrastructure. He also mentioned that the project aligns with CtrlS’s goal of contributing to Telangana's growth by providing advanced technological solutions. The cluster is expected to play a key role in meeting the growing demand for data storage and processing, particularly for AI and other high-tech industries that require robust and scalable infrastructure.
