Suryakumar Yadav and Devisha Yadav Acquire ₹21.11 Crore Luxury Apartments in Mumbai
Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav and his wife, Devisha Yadav, have recently invested in two luxury apartments at Godrej Sky Terraces in Deonar, Mumbai, for a total of Rs. 21.11 crore. As per property registration records accessed on the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) Maharashtra website by Square Yards, the purchase was finalized in March 2025.
Deonar, located in eastern Mumbai, falls under the Mumbai Suburban district and is well-connected through major transport networks, including the Chembur railway station, Mumbai Monorail, Eastern Express Highway, and Sion-Panvel Expressway. The area has gained prominence as a sought-after residential locality due to its connectivity and infrastructure.
The couple’s new residences are part of Godrej Sky Terraces, a premium project spanning 1.05 acres, offering 3 BHK and 4 BHK configurations. As per Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) records, their purchase includes two apartments on consecutive floors, with a combined carpet area of 392.36 sq. m. (~4,222.76 sq. ft.) and a built-up area of 424.46 sq. m. (~4,568 sq. ft.). The agreement also includes six designated parking spaces. The transaction incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 1.26 crore and a registration fee of Rs. 30,000.
According to Square Yards Data Intelligence, 25 property registrations have been recorded at Godrej Sky Terraces between March 2024 and February 2025, with a total transaction value of Rs. 202 crore. The average price of units in the project stands at Rs. 52,433 per sq. ft., reflecting strong demand for high-end real estate in the area.
Suryakumar Yadav has established himself as one of India’s most consistent and aggressive T20 batsmen, known for his 360-degree stroke play. Since his international debut in 2021, where he announced his arrival with a six off his very first ball, he has been a key player in India’s T20 setup. In 2022, he claimed the No. 1 spot in the ICC T20I rankings for batters and was recognized as the ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year. His contributions to the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) have also been instrumental in their multiple title wins.
His investment in Godrej Sky Terraces highlights the growing preference for premium real estate in Mumbai’s eastern suburbs, particularly among high-net-worth individuals. The project’s prime location, superior connectivity, and high-end amenities make it a preferred choice for buyers looking for both luxury and long-term value appreciation.
Given the rising property prices and increasing demand in this segment, this acquisition aligns with Yadav’s financial foresight and stability. As his cricketing career continues to flourish, his entry into the luxury real estate market signals a strategic approach to wealth management and asset growth.
