Renewed Buyer and Investor Interest Drives Expansion of Trump Tower Projects in India
The Trump Tower residential projects in India are seeing a significant increase in buyer interest and investor activity. This highlights the ongoing appeal of the super-premium real estate segment, particularly in areas like Delhi NCR, where previous Trump Tower developments have been fully sold out. As per Hindu Businessline, demand for luxury residences under the Trump brand remains strong, with inquiries continuing to come in despite the completion of existing projects.
Over the next few years, at least six additional Trump Tower projects are expected to come up across key cities in India, including Noida, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, and Gurugram. If these projects materialize, India will join the ranks of countries with some of the largest Trump Towers globally, with an estimated combined floor area of around 8 million square feet. The potential sale value for these upcoming projects is pegged at ₹15,000 crore.
Trump Tower residential projects in India are already a significant presence, with four active projects in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Gurugram. These existing developments, which include 800 luxury residences spread across a total of 3 million square feet, have collectively brought in an estimated ₹7,500 crore. Prices for the apartments in these buildings range between ₹6 crore and ₹25 crore, targeting the high-net-worth segment.
In an exclusive partnership with Tribeca Developers, the group overseeing Trump Towers in India, Rajat Khandelwal, Group CEO of Tribeca, explained that the Delhi NCR project is nearing its final stages. The company has applied for the Occupancy Certificate (OC), and the residences are expected to be ready for handover to buyers in the coming months. Meanwhile, work is progressing on the Kolkata project, where the building facade is complete, and finishing touches are being applied in preparation for the handover of residences this year.
These developments are part of an ongoing effort to capitalize on the growing demand for luxury real estate in India. The Trump brand, known globally for its high-end properties, offers a distinct identity and positioning in the market, appealing to buyers seeking prestige and exclusivity. The fact that the existing Trump Towers are sold out in key locations further underscores the brand’s appeal and the demand for ultra-luxury residences.
In addition to the residential projects, Pune will also be home to the first Trump Office complex in India, expanding the brand's footprint beyond residential properties. The commercial complex will bring the Trump name to a new segment of the Indian real estate market.
The coming years will witness further expansion of the Trump Towers network, with both residential and commercial projects slated to transform the luxury real estate landscape in India. The interest and success of these high-end developments highlight a shift towards premium living spaces that cater to the growing affluent class in urban centers across the country.
As these projects progress, the Trump brand is expected to influence the luxury real estate market in India. With premium features and strategic locations, the Trump Towers aim to become prominent landmarks in the country's high-end residential segment.
