The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) Nashik Board has announced an online lottery for 478 affordable apartments across Nashik, targeting applicants from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The units, ranging from 215 sq ft to 537 sq ft, are priced between ₹5.48 lakh and ₹27 lakh.
The flats are distributed across multiple locations, including Gangapur Shivar, Deolali Shivar, Pathardi Shivar, Mhasrul Shivar, Nashik Shivar, and Agar Takli Shivar. The allocation includes 22 units at Deolali Shivar, 50 at Gangapur Shivar, 64 at Pathardi Shivar, 196 at Mhasrul Shivar, 14 at Nashik Shivar, and 132 at Agar Takli Shivar. All apartments are offered under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme and are exclusively reserved for EWS applicants.
The online registration and application process was launched on September 4, 2025, through a ‘Go-Live’ ceremony conducted by MHADA Vice President and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal. Authorities have emphasized that applicants should register only through the official MHADA website, https://housing.mhada.gov.in, or via the MHADA Lottery App available on Android and iOS. MHADA clarified that it has not appointed any third-party agents or mediators for the sale, and applicants are advised to avoid engagement with unauthorized representatives to prevent fraudulent transactions.
This lottery marks the third round of allocations by the Nashik Board in 2025. Earlier lotteries had allotted 379 flats, 105 shops, and 32 plots, reflecting continued efforts by MHADA to expand affordable housing access in the region.
Interested applicants can submit their online registration forms until October 3, 2025, at 11:59 pm. The final list of eligible applicants will be published on MHADA’s official website on October 17, 2025, at 12 pm. The date and venue of the lottery draw will be notified on the website subsequently.
According to MHADA, the initiative is part of a larger push to provide affordable housing options in Nashik and adjoining areas. With this launch, the authority aims to ensure transparent allotment procedures and facilitate homeownership for lower-income households.
The Nashik Board’s ongoing housing initiatives complement other MHADA programs across Maharashtra. Earlier in 2025, MHADA indicated plans to offer around 5,000 affordable homes in Mumbai during the Diwali period, highlighting a strategic focus on urban housing development. In 2024, the authority offered over 2,000 affordable units in Mumbai, priced between ₹29 lakh and ₹6.82 crore.
MHADA’s efforts reflect the government’s broader commitment to increasing affordable housing stock while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. By leveraging online platforms, the authority aims to reduce bureaucratic delays, improve accessibility, and maintain a secure process for applicants.
This lottery provides an opportunity for economically weaker households in Nashik to secure homes at subsidized prices, strengthening the city’s affordable housing ecosystem and promoting equitable urban development.
