Interarch Building Solutions has announced the groundbreaking of a new manufacturing facility in Kheda, Gujarat, marking a significant expansion of the company’s pre-engineered building (PEB) operations in India. The project, with an initial investment of Rs 70 crore, will bolster Interarch’s capacity and strengthen its presence across West and Central India, while also supporting export operations.

The new facility, spread over 12 acres, will have an installed production capacity of 40,000 metric tonnes in its first phase. Strategically located near major ports, the plant is designed to serve both domestic and international markets efficiently. With modern automation and synchronized operations, it aims to set benchmarks in productivity, quality, and operational efficiency in India’s PEB sector.

Interarch’s CEO, Manish Garg, highlighted that the groundbreaking of the Gujarat facility represents a key milestone for the company. He noted that Gujarat’s robust infrastructure, industrial clusters, and strategic location create an ideal environment for the company’s growth. The expansion is expected to enhance Interarch’s production capacity, strengthen its ability to serve both domestic and international markets, and reinforce its broader commitment to India’s manufacturing sector.

The plant is expected to generate over 400 direct and indirect jobs, contributing to regional economic development. It complements Interarch’s existing facilities in North and South India, completing a pan-India manufacturing footprint. The company’s expansion aligns with the growing demand for modular steel solutions in sectors such as renewables, electric vehicles (EVs), semiconductor manufacturing, data centres, and industrial facilities.

Interarch has a strong track record of executing complex and high-value projects across India. Its portfolio includes India’s first semiconductor chip manufacturing unit in Sanand, a large tyre manufacturing facility in Bhuj, a complex industrial facility in Bharuch, and a solar energy plant in Jamnagar. The company has delivered projects for leading corporates, including Adani, Aditya Birla, Reliance Energy, BKT Tyre, Asian Paints, and MG Motors.

The Kheda facility is expected to further strengthen Interarch’s leadership in the PEB industry, enabling the company to meet increasing demand for steel-based modular construction solutions. Analysts expect the expansion to support Interarch’s target of achieving a turnover of around Rs 2,400 crore by FY28, driven by capacity additions and the company’s strategic focus on high-growth industrial segments.
