Why Managing Property from Afar Feels Like a Full-Time Job
For years, property owners had to rely on brokers, relatives, or friends to look after their homes—an arrangement that often led to delayed rent payments, unreliable tenants, legal issues, and in some cases, even illegal occupation. Recognizing this challenge, Prajapati and Mishra created Propdial to be a single, reliable touchpoint for property management. Whether it’s screening tenants, signing lease agreements, or ensuring regular maintenance, the platform handles everything so owners don’t have to worry.
“The real estate market in India lacked professional property management solutions for remote owners. People were relying on informal networks, which led to a lot of problems. We wanted to change that,” says Vinay Prajapati, Co-founder and CEO of Propdial.
The need for such a service became even more obvious during the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel restrictions made it nearly impossible for NRIs to visit their properties in India, making remote property management a necessity rather than a luxury. “Seventy percent of our properties under management belong to NRIs,” says Prajapati. “They used to depend on friends and family, but the pandemic showed them that wasn’t a sustainable solution. That’s when demand for professional property management surged.”
The Propdial Way – Turning Property Woes into Wows
Today, Propdial operates across multiple cities, offering services that go beyond traditional property management. The platform provides rigorous tenant background checks, digital lease agreements, quarterly property inspections with photos, and 24/7 maintenance support. This ensures that every property is well cared for, even when its owner is thousands of miles away.
“Our goal is to make property ownership truly trouble-free,” says Gopal Mishra, Co-founder and COO. “From finding the right tenant to handling maintenance and legal formalities, we take care of everything so that owners don’t have to.”
And Propdial is just getting started. With the rise of PropTech (property technology), the company is gearing up for aggressive expansion. It has already secured $500,000 in initial funding and is now looking to raise an additional $2-3 million in a Pre-Series A round to grow its operations, enhance its technology, and expand into 30 cities. Strategic partnerships, including a collaboration with Housing.com, are further boosting its reach and credibility.
Despite its digital focus, Propdial’s biggest strength remains trust. “Many of our existing customers have become investors in our recent fundraising round,” says Prajapati. This shows just how much confidence people have in the platform.
What’s Next? Making Property Management Even Easier
Looking ahead, Propdial plans to introduce new services like key management and move-in/move-out inspections, expand into more cities, and continuously improve its technology. For NRIs and remote property owners, this means they no longer have to stress about their properties. Propdial ensures everything is taken care of.
With technology at its core and customer trust as its foundation, Propdial is proving that managing a property from a distance can be simple and stress-free. The question now isn’t whether NRIs and remote owners will embrace this change, it’s how soon they’ll make the switch.
