ITC Hotels Expands Fortune Brand with 14 New Signings and 7 Launches in FY25

ITC Hotels Ltd has expanded its Fortune Hotels portfolio in the financial year 2024–25 by signing 14 new properties and opening 7 across India and Nepal. The move is aimed at strengthening its presence in tier II and tier III cities while continuing to grow in established and emerging travel destinations.

As of March 31, 2025, the Fortune brand portfolio includes 78 hotels, out of which 56 are operational and 22 are in the pipeline. The company has outlined a clear focus on expanding its footprint in both domestic and neighbouring international markets, with a structured approach to reaching underserved regions and improving access for business and leisure travellers alike.

In its statement, the company highlighted that the newly signed hotels are spread across key locations such as Goa, Kolkata, Chennai, Rishikesh, Indore, Bhimtal, Mukteshwar, Gorakhpur, Mohali, Surat, and Ayodhya. These cities have seen increasing travel demand and infrastructure growth, making them suitable locations for mid-market and upscale hospitality offerings.

Managing Director of ITC Hotels Ltd, Anil Chadha, noted that the brand remains committed to growth with a focus on accessibility and dependable service. According to Chadha, the aim of the expansion is to provide travellers with more accommodation options in strategically located cities, reinforcing Fortune’s presence in the Indian subcontinent.

In FY25, six new Fortune hotels were launched in India, in destinations such as Pahalgam, Puri, Chennai, Candolim (Goa), Palampur (Himachal Pradesh), and Ekta Nagar (Gujarat). These additions reflect the brand’s targeted strategy to grow in high-footfall destinations as well as in emerging leisure and business hubs.

Fortune Hotels also expanded internationally this year with its first property in Nepal. The new hotel in Bhaktapur marks the brand's entry into a new market and demonstrates the company’s intent to grow in regions with historical and cultural significance that attract both domestic and international travellers.

With the new developments, Fortune Hotels now operates in more than 65 cities across India and Nepal. The expansion aligns with the broader trend of hospitality brands moving beyond metro areas to meet the needs of travellers in smaller but increasingly connected cities.

By focusing on a mix of leisure and business destinations, ITC Hotels aims to position the Fortune brand as a reliable choice across a broad segment of the hospitality market. With 22 more hotels in the pipeline, the company is set to continue its expansion strategy in the coming years, driven by demand in both traditional tourist areas and emerging regional hubs.
