HOABL Set to Buy Land in 13 Cities as Part of Nationwide Expansion
The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HOABL) is actively expanding its footprint in India's real estate market by looking to buy land in 13 new cities. This initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to establish a presence in 30 towns by March next year. Founder Abhinandan Lodha has outlined ambitious growth plans, with the company expecting to sell plots worth Rs 2,200 crore in the current fiscal year and targeting an annual sales milestone of Rs 10,000 crore by 2029-30.
Since its inception, HOABL has acquired land parcels in 17 locations across multiple states, initiating development and sales activities in 10 of these locations. The company currently operates in Maharashtra, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. Plans are in place to commence construction in the remaining seven locations within the next six months.
Abhinandan Lodha emphasized that land acquisition is a continuous process for the company. He stated that the firm is constantly looking to buy land and aims to complete acquisitions in 13 new cities by March 2026, reinforcing its focus on the plotted development segment. This announcement was made during a CREDAI conference recently held in Nashik, Maharashtra.
When questioned about the ongoing dispute with Macrotech Developers, owned by his elder brother Abhishek Lodha, over the use of the 'Lodha' brand name, Abhinandan refrained from commenting, citing an ongoing mediation process mandated by a court order.
Founded in 2021, HOABL has rapidly established a strong presence in the plotted development segment, covering approximately 1,000 acres across 10 cities in Maharashtra, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh. Unlike traditional real estate firms, the company exclusively sells plots through an online platform, which has enabled it to scale operations efficiently.
The company has identified a total of 48 cities for future plotted development projects, aligning with its vision of addressing the growing demand for land ownership. According to Abhinandan, the company focuses on providing legally clear, fully approved land parcels to customers, catering to both end-users and investors. The company’s approach ensures transparency and security in transactions, a key factor driving customer interest.
In November 2024, HOABL announced an investment of Rs 3,000 crore to expand operations into six additional cities. The company has already acquired 352 acres across Amritsar, Vrindavan, Varanasi, Shimla, Nagpur, and Khopoli (near Mumbai) as part of this expansion.
The brand has also garnered attention for attracting high-profile buyers, including Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who has invested in one of its projects. This endorsement further strengthens the company's positioning in the market.
With ongoing acquisitions and ambitious sales targets, the company is set for significant growth in the coming years. As it expands into new cities, HOABL's focus on legally compliant, well-planned land parcels will support demand and strengthen its position.
